Chastain Memorial Park

Chastain Memorial Park is a vast expanse of land space that creates a conducive environment to jog, ride, picnic and have a good time. The park sits on well over 200 acres and has a swimming pool, tennis courts, a magnificent golf course, and a playground for kids and adults alike. In addition, there’s a jogging path where you can stretch your legs and run, and an amphitheater as well that regularly hosts live shows and outdoor concerts. There is also a horse stable and riding area for horse lovers to ride and have fun. It's a fantastic location for reunions between families and friends, and guests can usually bring in their food and drinks.
So, on your next visit, pack for a picnic, dress looking sporty and sharp, and head to Chastain Memorial Park for an amazing outdoor experience.


Phipps Plaza
After its original developer, Ogden Phipps, Named, this upscale shopping destination is the foremost in the Southeast and is hugely popular for its elegant interior decor and structures. The building sits at the intersection between Peachtree Road and Lenox Road, opposite Lenox Mall, also owned by the Simon Property group.
The Mall houses more than 100 stores, including top brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and Saks Fifth Avenue. There's also a lot of entertainment to go around with a 14-screen AMC theatre offering a fantastic viewing experience. Dining services are also aplenty with luxury options like The Tavern, Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, and  Johnny Rockets all within the Plaza. 

Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta

Right within Phipps Plaza but deserving of its special mention is the Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta. It is the ultimate lego playground and one of the best entertainment spots for children and adults alike. Unfortunately, Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta is only open to older folks with children during regular hours. Adults can only come around without children on Adult Nights, every third Tuesday of the month, to enjoy the magic of Legoland.

Legoland Discovery Center Atlanta comprises a mind-blowing 4D Cinema that allows you to blast into the LEGO movies with epic effects like wind, rain, and even snow! In addition, there are interactive rides, a race area to construct and test race cars down a giant ramp, a Master Builder Academy to build with experts, among many other attraction points. You also get to munch on our “BRICKTASTIC Snack Break” at the LEGO Cafe. All you have to do is book your ticket online and come around. This fantastic place will keep you wanting more. 


Lenox Mall

Lenox Mall is one of the oldest Shopping spaces in Georgia and, since 1959, has served neighborhoods around Atlanta. The four-floor establishment is linked to Phipps Plaza by Peachtree Street, both owned by the Simon Property group. The mall has one of the largest collections of shops, boutiques, and restaurants you can find anywhere, with more than 200 stores situated within its walls. 
The leading anchor stores at Lenox Square are Bloomingdale's, Neiman Marcus, and Macy's. Brooks Brothers, Coach are a few other top-line stores available. There is even a Tesla showroom as well, and there’s nothing you're looking for that you won't find. There are also three full-service restaurants; the Cheesecake Factory, True Food Kitchen, and Zinburger Wine & Burger Bar. 

Atlanta History Center

The Atlanta History Centre is a multi-award-winning history museum located right at the center of Buckhead, established in 1926 is one of the best in Georgia. The Atlanta History Centre sits on about 33 acres of gardens, wildlife ranges, and several attraction sites, including the Swan House, the Margaret Mitchell House, and Cyclorama: The Big Picture, dating more than 80 years old.

The museum provides an all-access ticket that gives guests access to tour each of its sites on entry. The Swan House sits at the heart of the Atlanta History Center and is famous for its use on set for shooting the “Hunger Games” movie. It is arguably the most popular tourist attraction site here and occasionally hosts small events. Cyclorama: The Big Picture is one of only two in the entire country, making this home to one of the country’s biggest treasures. The Margaret Mitchell House is another fine addition to this History Centre, and you get to tour where she wrote her famous book - Gone With the Wind.
All year long, the Atlanta History Center brings history to life with several programs, lectures, and festivals that showcase the country’s rich and diverse cultural history. The center is open every day of the week between 9 AM to 4 PM, and you can purchase your tickets online via their website.


Bobby Jones Golf Course

This newly opened revolutionary golf course is one of the most innovative courses in the country and is fast gaining the attention of lovers of the game far and wide. Both the Grand Slam Golf Academy and the Murray Golf House have made their home within the facility, and Boone’s restaurant complements the fun with fantastic food and drinks for your pleasure. The facility is a “must visit” on your visit to the Beverly Hills of the East.
The course is a wide-open space with plenty of greens that are large and fast. There is also a lot of driving range and practice greens. The tees also offer a fantastic view of Midtown as well as Buckhead. The staff are great and complement an amazing set up which ensures you have a wonderful time.

Park Bench Battery

Park Bench Battery has continued to offer good times and good music for Buckhead’s youthful and exuberant population. The venue has been in operation since 1994 and stays alive each night until around 2:30 AM. So whether it be a live band or the top-notch DJs invited, you are in for a party treat whenever you visit Park bench.
Park Bench is only open to people above the age of 21. It features interactive dueling piano Shows, scintillating performances from different live bands across genres like Rock, Alternative music, etc., plus an endless supply of good music. Park Beach also occasionally hosts private parties and hangouts as well. Have you tried the famous Antico Neapolitan pizza at the Park Bench Antico Slice Bar as well? What are you waiting for?
Buckhead Village District

Buckhead Village District was previously called the Streets of Buckhead until 2011 and has been redeveloped into one of the most attractive destination stops in Buckhead. Buckhead village district is bounded by Peachtree street among a few others and is just over a mile away from the region’s two most prominent and upscale malls, Phipps Plaza and Lenox Mall.
Despite the competition, Buckhead Village District holds its own and is a popular destination for fashion travelers coming into Buckhead. The facility boasts more than 50 designer stores, including top names like Tom Ford, Dior, Christian Louboutin, among others. There is also an impressive list of restaurants that offer local and international delicacies. In addition, all guests receive a complimentary Access card and bag, providing opportunities to win special offers and complimentary services.

Buckhead Theatre

The Buckhead Theatre was first opened in 1931 and is one of the first contact points on your entry into the Buckhead community. Following two long years of reconstruction, the theatre reopened in a grand style in 2010 as the foremost intimate theatrical venue. The theatre is regularly sold out for live shows and concerts across several musical genres, including rock music, country music, hip-hop, alternative music, among many others.
Beyond the beautiful musical and theatrical experience, the Buckhead Theatre is an architectural masterpiece. The renovations did not harm its Spanish-esque structure in any way, and the lightning and sound complement a beautiful visual experience. There are a 10-foot LED marquee leading into the theatre, plus the original Art Deco doorways. Whenever you eventually visit this masterpiece, remember to take a picture or two. You will love it!

Path 400 Buckhead Greenway Trail

The Path 400 Buckhead Greenway trail is a 5.2-mile trail that connects the green spaces of Buckhead and is designed to connect everyone around the community. It basically forms the spine of the community and connects commerce to the community. People can easily walk the trail from home to school or work. The trail was created for pedestrians and cyclists alike. It is a great spot for folks looking to stretch their legs, go for a walk, or hang out with family and friends. Once completed, the trail will also connect to the Beltline, which could form an effective pathway roundabout the entire city of Atlanta.


In this article, we have attempted to curate an entertaining but diverse list of the top ten things you can do on your visit to the Beverly Hills of the East. From shopping malls to fantastic restaurants and relaxation spots, Buckhead has it all. The Georgia Aquarium, World of coca-cola, and Airport are still very close and easily accessible from within Buckhead.
